I designed and programmed a new website for the demolition company MAYER. Demolition expert Kurt Prinz provided the matching photos.
MAYER Abbruch is a long-established Austrian company with a history of more than 80 years. Always family-owned, it worked its way up from passenger transport through real estate to the construction industry and now has several branches and more than 130 employees.
Kurt Prinz, known for his work on the subject of "retired architecture", had already made several books and exhibitions on the topic ("Sezierte Architektur" (Dissected Architecture) and "Die letzten Tage des Hannapi Stadions" (The Last Days of the Hanappi Stadium)) and was therefore completely in his element.
MAYER wanted a website that would use the aesthetics and quality of Kurt's pictures to present the company in its full scale, with its entire range of services.
Visually, what stands out most is the impressive machinery the company uses to tear down almost anything imaginable. To me it was obvious that Kurt's pictures should be given as much space on the website as possible.
The company is all about space: creating space, destroying space. His pictures convey most impressively that they are capable of doing exactly that.
